Job Title:  Full Stack Developer

Purpose:

Energy Aspects has been through four years of rapid growth, opening offices in London, New York and Singapore. Over the next 18 months we look to double our revenue and significantly increase our headcount. Technology is at heart of our business and we look to continually innovate as we stay ahead of our competition.

We are seeking a Full Stack Developer with more than great software engineering experience, but someone who can recognise opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation. As a small business you must be able to work across a range of disciplines and have the ability to quickly find solutions to problems that you have likely never encountered before.

We champion the use of new and innovative technologies, so we’ll encourage you to use the latest tech wherever you feel it can add value to the business.

Our development environment consists of:

Architecture

Amazon Web Services (AWS) virtual servers, and services

Server side

PHP 7, Laravel 5, and MySQL

Front end

Vanilla JavaScript (ES6), Angular, Vue.js, and modern tools such as GULP, SASS, NPM and Bower.

Project management and version control

Jira, Basecamp and GitHub

Methodologies

Agile, Test-driven development (TDD) and Continuous-integration

Duties:

The successful candidate’s duties will include, but are not limited to:

1.Develop code across the stack for new features and products

2.Write automated tests. We’re advocates for test-driven development.

3.Take an active role in evolving our web architecture

4.Develop interfaces that are easy to use, intuitive and performant.

5.Work with users to help build stories and define requirements

6.Learn, recommend and help drive our business  

Requirements:

1.Must have a deep understanding of PHP, Larvel, JavaScript and Angular as a minimum

2.Experience of unit testing. TDD (Test Driven Development) using PHPUnit, Codeception, Behat, Jasmine or Karma are a plus.

3.A strong grasp of SOLID principles.

4.Ability to work with user and leaders to understand requirements

5.The ability to quick and effectively produce mock-ups and proof of concepts

6.Eye for design and comfortable working without UX designers

7.Great communication and interpersonal skills
